Cannabis Delivery in Tennessee

Delivery is NOT legal in Tennessee, medical, recreational, or hemp

Tennessee has no medical or recreational cannabis program of any kind, so marijuana delivery has never been on the table here. What changed more recently is hemp. Tennessee legalized adult-use hemp-derived THC products years ago, and for a while online ordering and shipping filled the gap left by having no cannabis program. That is over. House Bill 1376, signed in May 2025, bans all online sales and delivery of hemp-derived cannabinoid products (HDCPs) in Tennessee, whether the seller is a Tennessee retailer, an out-of-state retailer, or a third-party delivery service. Every hemp THC sale now has to be a face-to-face transaction at a licensed retail location. Here is what that actually looks like.

Where You Can Legally Buy in Tennessee (In Person)

There are no delivery services to list because no form of cannabis or hemp THC delivery is legal in Tennessee. What exists is a licensed, in-person hemp retail channel.

How Buying Legal Hemp Products Works in Tennessee

There is no ordering process to describe for delivery, because it does not exist. Here is what the in-person process looks like instead.

Find a Licensed Retailer

Look for a hemp or CBD retailer holding a current license from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission. Unlicensed sellers, or any seller offering to ship or deliver, are operating outside the law as of 2026.

Bring Photo ID

You must be 21 or older to purchase hemp-derived THC products, and retailers are required to verify age at the point of sale.

Buy in Person

Every transaction has to be face-to-face at the licensed retail location. There is no phone order, no online checkout, and no curbside handoff under the current law.

Check the Label for Total THC

Rules fully in effect July 1, 2026 count THCA toward the product's total THC limit, which effectively removed THCA flower and similar products from legal shelves. Check current labeling before buying.

Use It Privately

Public consumption laws and DUI enforcement apply to hemp-derived THC products the same as they would to any intoxicating substance.

What to Expect at a Tennessee Hemp Retailer

Because delivery does not exist in any form, an in-store visit is the only legal path to a hemp THC purchase.

Staff should ask for photo ID confirming you are 21 or older before completing any hemp THC sale
The retailer should display or be able to produce a current Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission license for hemp-derived cannabinoid sales
