Colorado Springs is home to five military installations - Fort Carson, Peterson Space Force Base, Schriever Space Force Base, the Air Force Academy, and NORAD's Cheyenne Mountain complex - and that military and Space Force presence shaped a uniquely conservative approach to cannabis for over a decade even as the rest of the state opened retail sales in 2014. On the flower and concentrate side, 710 Labs and Green Dot Labs are the two names Colorado's craft-cannabis scene built its reputation on, both known for small-batch, pesticide-free growing and premium live rosin. The 2025-2026 story in Colorado is Colorado Springs finally joining the recreational market after more than a decade of local prohibition, instantly adding the state's second-largest city and its existing medical dispensary base to the adult-use map. Delivery adoption is spreading slowly rather than statewide - watch for more Front Range suburbs following Denver and Aurora's lead rather than a single new state law.
