Kenner sits on the Mississippi River's north bank just west of New Orleans, best known as the home of Louis Armstrong International Airport, the state's busiest, which anchors a local economy built around hospitality, logistics, and the constant flow of travelers connecting through Jefferson Parish. That airport traffic, combined with Kenner's own residential population, gives the city one of the more varied medical cannabis patient bases in Greater New Orleans.

Crescent City Therapeutics, LLC holds its own full base permit here at 100 West Airline Highway - a notable distinction, since Kenner is one of only two cities in the New Orleans metro area with a base pharmacy license rather than depending entirely on a neighboring city's satellite network. The company also runs a satellite inside New Orleans proper at 1407 South Carrollton Avenue, giving it reach on both sides of the Jefferson-Orleans parish line.

The West Airline Highway location sits in one of Kenner's busiest commercial corridors, a stretch shared with hotels serving airport travelers and retail centers serving local residents alike. Running alongside the medical program is a separate, tighter hemp-derived THC track. Act 752 of 2024 caps hemp edibles at 5 mg of THC per serving, bans every inhalable hemp product outright, and restricts sales to buyers 21 and older at permitted retailers - never gas stations. The headline 2025-2026 story is regulatory, not retail: Act 693 finished moving retailer oversight from the Board of Pharmacy to LDH on January 1, 2025, the March 2025 emergency rule renamed dispensaries to retailers, and a January 2026 final rule locked the framework in. Meanwhile the adult-use pilot bill (HB 627) died in committee in June 2025, so the medical-only structure holds through the rest of 2026.
