The Strip Overview
The Strip runs roughly from Mandalay Bay to the Sahara, and almost none of that stretch has a dispensary on it, because zoning keeps cannabis retail off the resort corridor itself. The city of Las Vegas proper is not the Strip - that resort corridor sits in unincorporated Paradise - and the difference matters when you are hunting for a store. What the city holds instead is downtown, the Arts District, the Charleston Boulevard spine, the northwest suburbs out past Cheyenne Avenue, and the Rainbow Boulevard commercial run that serves the whole west side. Roughly 600,000 residents live here, and the visitor traffic spilling north from the resorts makes this the busiest cannabis retail market between Los Angeles and Denver.
Shopping here is easy in a way it is not in the rest of the state. Several stores run 24 hours, drive-thru lanes are common, and menu depth is genuinely deep: dozens of flower cultivars, a full concentrate case, and a beverage cooler that has grown into a category of its own. Store staff deal with first-time tourists all day, so asking basic dosing questions is routine rather than awkward.
The retail clusters are easy to name. Planet 13 anchors West Desert Inn Road just off Interstate 15 and pairs its 24-hour floor with the Dazed! consumption lounge. Start low with edibles - 5 mg is a reasonable first dose, and the effects can take two hours to arrive. Never drive after consuming: Nevada prosecutes marijuana DUI on impairment for a first or second offense, and a third offense within seven years triggers a per se limit of 2 nanograms per milliliter of THC in blood. Keep product sealed and out of reach in the vehicle.
