Where people in Lockwood Glen actually buy, what it costs, and what is legal in Franklin, Tennessee as of September 2026.

Lockwood Glen Overview

Lockwood Glen sits near Peytonsville Road on Franklin's southern edge, a quieter residential pocket further from the city's main commercial corridors. Residents here face a longer drive than most Franklin neighborhoods to reach a licensed hemp shop, typically heading toward downtown. Peytonsville Road stays two lanes for most of its length, narrower than the busier corridors closer to downtown. A handful of horse farms still operate along Peytonsville Road within sight of the subdivision.

Delivery in Lockwood Glen

A longer drive toward downtown, card and valid ID in hand, is Lockwood Glen's only path to a purchase - no retailer sits nearby and nothing ships this far south. Williamson County lost its hemp shipping option the same date the rest of the state did.

Local Pricing

Lockwood Glen prices nothing locally; the longer downtown trip runs gummies $30-$52, vape carts $32-$56, tinctures $36-$62. The extra drive time hasn't pushed pricing any higher than the rest of downtown Franklin.

Lockwood Glen FAQ

Is Lockwood Glen far from downtown?

Farther than most Franklin neighborhoods, given its position on the southern edge.

Is this area quiet and residential?

Yes, further from the main commercial corridors.

Where do residents typically shop?

Downtown Franklin, despite the longer drive.

Market Overview

Cannabis in Lockwood Glen, Franklin

Franklin pairs Civil War history with new-money suburban wealth in a way few Tennessee cities do - the 1864 Battle of Franklin unfolded on ground that's now some of Williamson County's priciest real estate, and the historic downtown square sits a short drive from the corporate office towers along the Cool Springs corridor. That mix shapes a retail environment where boutique storefronts sell to both longtime Franklin families and the newer executives who moved south from Nashville.

Williamson County has no marijuana dispensary and never has, following the same statewide rule as every other Tennessee county. What changed for Franklin's hemp shops this year is more subtle than in some cities: this is a boutique retail market to begin with, so when THCA flower left shelves in July under the state's new law, the transition drew less visible disruption than it did in college towns that leaned harder on flower sales.

Franklin's higher household incomes have kept its hemp shops positioned toward premium tinctures, topicals, and curated gummy brands rather than the value-focused, high-volume model seen in Nashville's suburbs to the north. Buyers here tend to ask more questions about sourcing and lab testing before checkout than shoppers in a purely convenience-driven market would.

Tennessee Statewide Context

Tennessee is not a legal marijuana state and was not close to becoming one heading into 2026. Simple
possession of half an ounce or less is a Class A misdemeanor: up to 11 months and 29 days in jail and a
mandatory fine of $250 to $2,500. More than half an ounce is usually charged as a Class E felony for
possession with intent to sell, one to six years and up to $5,000, though weight alone is only an inference
a jury may draw. Ten to seventy pounds is a Class D felony.

Tennessee's only medical allowance is a low-THC oil exemption written in 2015 and broadened in 2021.
It shields possession of oil labeled under 0.9% THC by people diagnosed with intractable seizures or epilepsy
and, since the 2021 expansion, Alzheimer's, ALS, cancer symptoms, inflammatory bowel disease, multiple
sclerosis, Parkinson's, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell disease, or quadriplegia. It is a defense, not a program: you
need proof of a legal order from another state, because Tennessee licenses no in-state cultivation,
processing, or sale of it. No cards, no dispensaries.

The hemp side changed completely under Public Chapter 526, signed May 21, 2025. The Alcoholic Beverage
Commission replaced the Department of Agriculture as regulator on January 1, 2026, but legacy Agriculture
licensees kept selling under the 2023 rules until those licenses expired June 30. Since July 1, 2026 the full
framework binds everyone: total THC is calculated as (THCA x 0.877) plus delta-9 and capped at 0.3%, which
removes essentially all THCA flower; THCp and synthetic cannabinoids are barred in any amount; shipping and
delivery to consumers are prohibited; and sales are limited to 21-and-over stores, liquor stores, and
on-premises bars and restaurants holding hemp licenses, which locked out convenience stores, groceries, and
gas stations. Serving caps run 15 mg per serving, 30 mg per beverage container, 300 mg per edible package,
and 500 mg per cartridge.

The federal clock runs separately. Public Law 119-37 redefines hemp by total THC and caps finished
products at 0.4 mg per container; Congress delayed most of it to December 11, 2026, while cannabinoids the
plant cannot produce naturally lose federal hemp status on November 12, 2026. A Tennessee medical cannabis
bill was deferred to summer study in March 2026. Nothing here should be read as marijuana dispensaries,
delivery, or lounges existing anywhere in Tennessee - they do not.

Shopping Guide

What to Buy in Lockwood Glen

Product availability in Lockwood Glen, Franklin follows Tennessee regulations. Here's what's available and what to expect:

🌿 Flower

Smokable marijuana flower is not sold anywhere in Tennessee. THCA "hemp flower" that mimicked it left retail shelves statewide on July 1, 2026 under the total-THC standard, and since industry estimates put THCA at roughly three-quarters of hemp sales here, that emptied most flower cases in the state.

💨 Vape Cartridges

Hemp vape cartridges were the backbone of Tennessee's market, but Public Chapter 526 bars synthetic cannabinoids in any amount, which regulators read to cover the CBD-converted delta-8 most carts were built on. Cartridges that remain are capped at 40 servings and 500 mg, carry a 10% wholesale tax added July 1, 2026, and lose federal hemp cover on November 12, 2026 if they are lab-converted.

🚬 Pre-Rolls

Pre-rolled THCA joints followed loose flower off shelves on July 1, 2026. Any smokable pre-roll sold in Tennessee now has to test under 0.3% total THC after decarboxylation, a bar that very little smokable product clears.

🍫 Edibles

Hemp-derived gummies and other edibles are the most stable surviving category, sold only at licensed 21-and-over retailers. State caps hold them to 15 mg per serving and 20 units per package, 300 mg total, and every product must carry a QR code linking to its batch Certificate of Analysis.

💎 Concentrates

Hemp-derived concentrates sit in a very narrow lane now: anything above 0.3% total THC counts as marijuana under Public Chapter 526, and THCp is prohibited outright at any concentration. That is a far tighter bar than the old delta-9-only test that the category was built around.

💧 Tinctures & Oils

CBD and low-dose hemp tinctures are among the categories that came through the July 2026 reset intact, since dosing is easy to test and control under the total-THC cap. They still require a licensed retailer and an in-person sale.

🧴 Topicals

CBD and low-THC creams, balms, and patches carry no meaningful intoxicating effect and remain widely available. Note that Public Chapter 526 pulled skin-absorbed cannabinoid products into the regulated definition, so they are sold through licensed retailers rather than anywhere on a shelf.

Brands

Top Cannabis Brands in Lockwood Glen

These Tennessee-licensed brands are available at dispensaries serving Lockwood Glen, Franklin:

Tennessee has no licensed marijuana brands because it has no dispensary system. In the hemp category, national brands that publish current third-party lab results are the safer bet over unlabeled local products, especially after the July 2026 compliance deadline tightened what can legally stay on a shelf. Every compliant product now carries a QR code linking to its batch Certificate of Analysis from a TABC-registered lab - scan it. Ask which categories a store still carries: THCA flower is gone statewide, converted cannabinoids like delta-8 are the most exposed, and CBD, low-dose edibles, and beverages are what survived.
