Retail concentrates along the West State Route 89A corridor running through West Sedona, with Uptown's tourist district generally lighter on cannabis retail than on galleries and outfitters. Because the town splits so sharply between a tourist core and a resident-facing corridor, a shop findable for the specific area someone is standing in beats one relying on 'Sedona dispensary' alone.

Arizona voters approved Proposition 207 — the Smart and Safe Arizona Act — in November 2020, and adult-use retail sales began in January 2021, building on a medical program that has operated under the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act since 2010.
